Great tool for the serious Bible student!,

I have been a student of the Bible for forty years. I have served in ministry for 35 of those years. I received the standard seminary courses in Greek and Hebrew. After seminary, I continued to pursue studies in biblical Greek.
The Analytical Greek Lexicon (although frowned upon by seminary professors :) has proved an invaluable tool when doing fast word studies of a text. It differs from a concordance, or a dictionary, in that those tools usually discuss the root form of a word. The Lexicon, however, has a lookup for every occurence of a word in the New Testament, as it appeared in the text. Then, from that occurence, it tells you the root word, the occurence's case, number, voice, tense, etc. ... what a time saver!

I don't think I have ever copied another reviewer on Amazon, but Robert Wynkoop's review was almost exactly what I would have said in this review.
I have other Greek helps and I often use computer aids, but for some reason I keep coming back and back to this old volume. It is on my desk and off my bookshelf as often as any book there. If you are looking for a useful Greek lexicon that will stand the test of time, choose this one.
