Good reference for Mechanical Vibration.,
By
This review is from: Analytical Methods in Vibrations (Paperback)
Although it was first printed in 1967, this book is still be a bible for mechanical vibration. The book provides wide ranges calculation methods in various systems. Examples are not too hard to get trough (for one who are quite similar with mechanical stuffs and high-level mathmatics). This book is also a course reserved text book for graduate vibration course at Carnegie Mellon University.

analytical methods in vibrations,
This review is from: Analytical Methods in Vibrations (Paperback)
1. the "book" is actually a paperback. at $90 + it is a rip off - but then, most text books are.
2. I was interested in using the book for real problems, mostly it is more about enhancing the reputation of the author with elegant proofs ... etc ... 3. I was interested in Holzer's Method for Torsional Vibration and after several pages of obscure terminology, it mentioned that the equations could be solved by two methods but without examples or specifics. 4. definitly not a Schaum's Outline.
