The book was edited by Alvin Fox, Stephen L. Morgan, Lennart Larsson, and Goran Odham. There are 16 chapters by numerous other additional authors covering applications of chromatography and mass spectrometry to analytical microbiology. Although specific techniques may be dated now (1998), the overall philosophy and approaches described in this book make it a valuable resource for the analytical chemist or microbiologist interested in analytical microbiology.
