This survey precludes a solid dive in to the world of analysis, yet manages to maitain an overview to this vast field. The chapter 1 summaries on BASIC and FORTRAN(-an excellent language for the engineering domain-) are particularly concise and welcome. It's a standard text, but one that excells on certain areas.
