This review is from: Analyzing Financial Statements The New York Times Pocket MBA Series 25 Keys to Understanding the Numbers (Audio CD)
Let me start by saying that I do not have a proper business education nor do I work in a business related field. Instead, I like to follow the stock market and I thought it would be great to understand Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, Income Statements, and Annual Reports so I can understand the market better.

This product was very good at explaining what all the different types of financial documents are and how they're used to assess a company's health. They discuss other topics such as basic accounting methods to expalin how the numbers are reported. At times, I felt the material did get a little too technical for me. However, I'm sure this is all basic Accounting 101 stuff for anyone with any formal education, so for them, it may be too basic. Also, I felt the narrator was a little drole and somewhat monotoned. I could only listen for about 30 minutes at a time before my attention drifted elsewhere.

I'm giving three stars because it does contain a lot of valuable information and would make a good reference tool for someone just starting out (like me) or for someone who needs refreshing.
