Drottnar makes another spectacular music journey, October 14, 2009

Lately i have really started to like Drottnar. So much in fact that they are now my favorite band in the metal scene. And here on Anamorphosis they have crafted another masterpiece to go along with their Viking-metal Spiritual Battle and their biggest triumph in Welterwerk. But here they add a twist: a violin. At first it caught me off guard that they had incorporated a violin player as a guest on this recording. But then you realize just how much the violin adds to the whole atmosphere of this CD. It really adds another dimension to the way Drottnar plays metal,and it's unfortunate that only 2 songs on this disc have it. Overall this CD (which is limited to 850 copies!!) isn't at the level of Welterwerk,but it should still be regarded as one of their best.
