The photographs in this book look dated, probably because they are! The yogi doing the postures is not wearing the latest yoga attire and his body hair has not been air-brushed out like it would be nowdays! Still, the information is timeless and the perfection of the poses held by a very-young Swami Kriyananda (now in his mid-80s) are impressive and the technical instructions exact. Ananda-style yoga is unique in its use of affirmations for each pose, and this handy paperback book presents them well. Also included are complete yoga routines, ranging from 20 minutes to an hour. A great resource book for yoga students or aspiring yogis.
