More About the Author

I was born in Houston and raised in Arizona. I went to undergraduate school at Arizona State and law school at the University of Houston.
I then spent four years in the Marine Corps. They called me 'Captain Bill.'

My current career began as a divorce attorney. My focus was on having my clients heal their relationship, one human being to another. In the process, I learned a lot about what creates and destroys love.
15 % of my clients never divorced and the ones who did were able to part as friends.

In 1985, I closed my law practice and put all my focus on healing relationships and having life work. Since then, I have led over 2,000 workshops and have worked with thousands of people.

My first book, How To Heal A Painful Relationship, was featured on Oprah and became a national best seller. I have also written Heal The Hurt That Sabotages Your Life and Miracles Are Guaranteed.

My websites, www.masteryoflife.com and www.divorceasfriends.com receive over 20,000 visitors a month. The Divorceasfriends site was recommended by The Wall Street Journal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Authoritative and thoughtful view of Southwest archaeology, October 25, 1997

This review is from: The Anasazi of Mesa Verde and the Four Corners (Hardcover)
Well-researched and gorgeously illustrated, this book manages to convey its author's enthusiasm for the Southwest's remarkable ruins without sacrificing scientific detail and even skepticism. He takes a well-known subject, Mesa Verde, and let's us see it with new eyes, while illuminating some of the least-well-known and most intriguing sites in the region. Few scholars and fewer tourists venture beyond Mesa Verde intothe obscure corners of the San Juan River valley, but William Ferguson shows how rewarding the trip could be. Above all, it is refreshing to read an enthusiast's book that does not indulge in unsupported speculation about the lives and beliefs of the prehistoric people of the Southwest.
