This is a great introduction to the history of ancient Turkey. Unlike most books by Hittitologists, this also covers the period during the height of the Lydians, and the Hellenistic and Roman periods. It is also furnished with many, many full-color photographs. It's also effective at retelling the history of Anatolian archaeology.
