5.0 out of 5 stars Best Business Plan Guide
Anatomy of a Business Plan is an outstanding guide for people that have never done a business plan before. It is in an easy language for all levels of entrepreneurs to follow.

I just followed the book and the excellent examples in order to complete my plan. Highly recommend this to everyone.

I gave a copy to my accountant.

seemed too technical and confusing. I have to write an equine business plan for a class, and I was hoping to find something that would walk me through it.

This is a very thorough book on creating a Business Plan. There is a lot to learn from this book. The book is fairly easy to read and understand and guides you through creating the Business Plan you need. The resulting Business Plan can rival any professionally prepared Business Plan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Anyone planning to establish a business of any kind would greatly benefit from a careful reading, September 2, 2008
This review is from: Anatomy of a Business Plan: The Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Business and Securing Your Company's Future (Paperback)
A sound and practical business plan is a fundamental necessity for any entrepreneurial endeavor if it is to succeed in today's volatile and competitive marketplace regardless of the goods or services it offers. Now in a newly revised, expanded, and updated seventh edition, "Anatomy Of A Business Plan" by business planning expert, speaker, consultant, and educator Linda Pinson is a complete 'how to' instructional manual and guide to creating and maintaining a viable business regardless of the size of the company or corporation. Pinson covers all aspects of the business plan from the cover sheet to appendices. Illustrative examples are provided for the executive summary, the individual plan elements, financial documentation, supporting documentation, and tax information as a part of business planning. Of special note is the chapter devoted to business planning for a nonprofit operation. Enhanced with chapters on business software, financing, and resource lists and links relevant to creating a business plan, "Anatomy Of A Business Plan" also provides four real-life examples in the form of appendices, has blank forms and worksheets that the reader can copy and use, and offers a glossary of business and financial terms. Anyone planning to establish a business of any kind would greatly benefit from a careful reading of Linda Pinson's "Anatomy Of A Business Plan".

I have read a few books on Business Plans and this one was probably one of the better ones. It's a very easy read and has some great pointers although I didn't care for all of the self-promotion inside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plan for Success, January 3, 2012
Linda Pinson's many years of helping entrepreneurs and others achieve business success by making business plans has helped hundreds of thousands of readers over the years plan for success. Linda shares this proverb in the book, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" and it is the cornerstone of this excellent resource.

The paperback book has lots of good forms and sample business plans in addition to the tried and true practical steps and ideas. The kindle version is a valuable work to have in addition to the paperback, because it serves as an accessible format that readers can use to inspire them to keep the importance of business planning front of mind all year long.
