Mindblowing!!!, September 3, 2003
This is the first Exhumed disc I purchased. I listened to some clips on amazon and decided to give it a shot. Boy was I happy with my purchase! From start to finish this record picks you up, chews you up and (spits) you out! It's literally insane and a real joy to listen to for fans of extreme metal.
How can I describe this band for those who've never heard of them? I would say it's like a punk paced Cannibal Corpse meets an In Flames guitarist with influences of 80's trash metal. Each song has constant switch offs and duets of dirty loud screeches and low death growls. They work off each other really well. The guitar work is also done very well, because it's not just constant riffs or senseless incoherent black metal strums but more a mix of tight thrash guitar and lots of use of twin guitar harmonies, not to mention the ... kicking solo's throughout that'll have you airguitaring in a second.
Upon first listen this record may make you think you've wasted your money on (junk), but give it a few more listens and it'll have you hooked. I really only have a small gripe with this record and that is to say that a few tracks may sound the same during your first listen, and some still do for me. Mostly the middle tracks. The first few are really well, then tracks 5-8 are good but sound too much alike. It picks up again after and really ends with a bang on the last track, probably the best on the record. I must warn those newies though that this is very extreme metal, if you're into metal like Opeth, Metallica, Type O Negative and such and think you've heard extreme, you've heard nothing. So if one day you're sitting around watching bloody movies and saying to yourself, "boy, I wish I had some music that would give me the same feeling I get from watching this bloodbath," go ahead and pick up exhumed's Anatomy is Destiny.

EXHUMED WILL KILL YOU, March 5, 2004
These guys definitly know what brutality means. Gore metal has never been one of my favorites but exhumed are definitly a cross between death and gore metal. This album grips you from the beginning and doesn't let go. Once again Neil Kernon has produced an perfect album. My favorite song on the album is probably grotesqueries but pretty much the whole album. Buy this album you will not be dissappointed. I heard live they bring a chainsaw out and one of the guys drinks blood. Of course this will rule. There is not enough good things to say about these guys. Keep supporting Metal.

AMAZING!, July 29, 2003
HOLY MOTHER OF CHOPPED LAMBS!! HAHA the probable words of the all time best "Gore" metal band ever EXHUMED! Yes this album is incredible. Rarely do bands ever seem to get better but exhumed manages to do this greatly in Anatomy Is Destiny. The band has improved greatly on their guitar riffs and also has added a new member, Bud Burke. There also are great sections of "mosh- friendly" music as well that make any listener want to clench the album tightly in their stereo and never stop listening. One of my best investments ever. You can't go wrong with this album.
