This review is from: Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient: Reflections on Healing and Regeneration (Hardcover)
I read 'Anatomy of an Illness' over twenty years ago and have only skimmed it since. However, I'm reviewing it because i feel like the previous post left a lot to be desired. 'Anatomy of an Illness' will never be 'outdated' because positive energy and humor are crucial to the healing process, and because holistic health will never go out of style. I quote the author: "I have learned never to underestimate the capacity of the human mind and body to regenerate..." It's an easy read. I regularly buy this book for friends and family who have serious health issues. Tonight I'm buying two copies. Highly recommended!

This book is way ahead of its time. The author, Norman Cousins, a leading intellectual figure of his day, healed himself of a very serious illness with laughter and intravenous megadose vitamin C.

I had heard of this for years and several times tried to obtain at the local chain book stores. On the occasions they had one in stock they would pass on to me at the same as would help retire the national debt. I chose this outlet as a reasonable option and found it well worth my while.

Ordered this book on December 15. I received it today, January 25. I did not get an explanation for the delay until I emailed the seller. The seller gave a credible reason for the delayed but should have offered one without my request. It should have been done the moment they saw the problem.
The book arrived in excellent condition.

Interesting, I have not finished reading it, so I can not say how outdated it is.
