Anatomy and Pathology for Bodyworkers,
This review is from: Anatomy and Pathology for Bodyworkers (DVD)
Loved it
I am a massage therapist who wanted to refresh my anatomy and system knowledge. The great graphics made this DVD easy to learn from, and entertaining to watch. It was good to have the pathology section, since it reinforced how the information about the systems relates to working on people with problems.

This is an OK DVD for a quick general review, but lacks the depth needed for each system. Hey what do expect to get in 74 minutes of anatomy and pathology.

The best product for bodyworkers,

The dvd for bodyworkers was the best product I have seen. It helped me to learn about antamony because covered alot of information that I might not have found in my antamony colorbook. It is great product for bodyworkers to learn about the human body.

I liked this video because it was a definite help when studying for the national certificaion exam. It shows you the conditions related to each anatomy structure. The video is fun to watch and interesting, definitely not dull. I also used the following which is just great as a study tool for the national certification exam:The Ultimate Study Guide for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork: Key Review Questions and Answers Volume 1, isbn;0971999643 Volume 2, isbn;0971999651

I love it! I am more of a visual than a reader when it comes to studying some things. I rather play the DVD over and over again and learn it inside and out, than reading and reading and reading. I actually know all the systems by heart just by playing this DVD. I only wish they had more.

I felt that the imagery in this video is priceless. I am a healer by trade and seeing the 3 dimensional version of the anatomy is great for understanding what often materializes in the mind during a session.
For those of you who are not trained like an L.M.T. or the like this is a great way to better understand the body and its systems. I would assume that this would be a good review for the trained bodyworkers as well. The video is a bit boring on the entertainment side of things, however the imagery and general overall presentation are excellent. 4 Stars!

I thought this was very well presented, and clear. A very good training video for therapists.

The DVD was helpful but a little too general and simple. It's a good tool for beginners.

Waste of money,

When you only have about 5 minutes to cover the nervous system, dumbing it down (not even a description of the parts of the neuron) to include massage strokes and pathologies within that 5 minute framework, it's just ridiculous. The imagery is great - but I don't think I'd have bought it just for that. I wanted more meat on this one, but was disappointed.
For the bodyworker, maybe it's simple review, but I hope their knowledge of anatomy and physiology sure isn't limited to this dvd. Better off reading your books and viewing individual system videos on youtube...

I don't think this DVD would be helpful. It's rather to read a book than watch this.
