4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Companion Book! September 8, 2013

My A&P 1 course is using Visual Anatomy & Physiology by Martini and it is just not doing it for me. This is a great companion that I can look at if I have problems with my textbook (I'm tempted to just use this). I would have given it 5 stars, BUT I am extremely, EXTREMELY disappointed it is not available for my Kindle Touch. I'm not sure why it's not available on the Touch, but please if there is anyway you (you know who you are) can make this available on the Touch I will be forever grateful and possibly name my first born child after you (probably not unless you have a super awesome name, but you get the point). Thank you for developing this awesome book and uber thank you for making it free for the masses. Keep doing what you're doing, Boundless.

what a great reference text. This book gives detailed information on every part of the human body. I have used it to refer to several times and then found myself reading about other parts of the body too. This is a very good refernce book to have in your library .It provides infromation in a manner that is easy to understand in laymans terms.

Amazon and Kindle makes buying expensive textbooks easy -- and less expensive! The cost of college books for my kids was way out of hand... so we invested in a HD Kindle (Amazon weekend deal) and it was the best decision ever! Now my daughter can download her text books easily, highlight text, create folders for assignments and pre-test studying and more. PLUS she doesn't have to carry a ton of heavy books! Using the Kindle she can buy her necessary books in minutes and begin to learn immediately! If you have a college student check their school requirements first to see if they allow electronic books! (They all should!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent study aid... February 5, 2014

Since my college Anatomy class doesn't require a particular textbook, I downloaded this one to supplement an old text from a previous A&P class. I usually refer to my old text when I'm studying the I'll turn to this text to see if there are clearer explanations, pictures, etc. This book has been okay, but I think it will be a bigger help when I take Physiology next semester.

I was cautious approaching this text. It was free after all. I was pleasantly surprised though. It is an excellent learning resource as well as a general reference.

I`ve been using this ebook (on Kindle Fire) as a supplement to my human bio and pharmacology classes. It`s an especially great reference for pharmacology because it delves into the specific underlying mechanisms responsible for the body`s biological processes.

For example I used it heavily when I was learning about medications to treat endocrine disorders and heart conditions. So I would definitely recommend this book on it`s own as a great way to learn anatomy & physio or as a supplement to another class, to delve deeper into a subject and truly understand the body`s processes, systems, etc.

I love this book and would recommend it to those like me who enjoy learning on our own. It has everything we need to know in this book. I share my book with family members who also share my curiosity.
