Great story!!! Beautifully written, very descriptive....makes you feel like you are there. Finally our little girls have a beautiful black princess to admire and aspire to be like.

What a wonderful story and a great read. This was a great story about promises, character and love. I couldn't put it down. It was a great read and I finished it within a few days only getting a chance to read it while I was on the bus before and after work. Yes, I almost missed the bus because I had to start reading as soon as I left the office. Ellen, I can't wait for a sequel. Thank God for your inspiration. Give her a kiss for me!!!!!

Great Book!!! Great story line and on point. I couldn't put it down. What a lovely story about true love, forgiveness, and trust in God. Although this is a fairy tale, the writer did an excellent job conveying the message that like Anaya, we all should seek to find and fulfill our purses in life. Another great message is the statement "to forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover the prisoner was you" That was a blessing for me. This story would make a good movie as well. I'm eager to read the next book!

A well written fantasy novel of love, disappointment, pain and rejection. The writer takes you on an imaginary journey with surprises and suspense. What is behind the gate? You will have to read the book to find out. Recommended reading for every young lady,or the young at heart. I envision the Anaya doll being sold in stores all over the country. Young ladies will fall in love with her story. She's the new Cinderella for this generation. Looking forward to the next episode.

First let me say "Thank you for taking me to Africa" I always wanted to get there. I finish reading Anaya's Purpose last night and wanted to let you know it was a "real feel good book" It took me a minute to get into it, but afterwards I just wanted to see what happens and how would it end. It made me reflect on family, faith and friends and oh yes the big one forgiveness.......

This story is a beautiful fairy tale that appeals to the interest of children and adults. Ms. Norris allows you to visualize what is taking place in the lives of two Royal South African families who share the same blood but allow misconceptions to keep them apart at first, but...

Ms. Norris conveys an important lesson that beauty "is in the eye of the beholder," but good character is undeniable. The story can also be classified as an adventure or romance novel. I look forward to more works by Ms. Norris.

I got the book on Friday, then read the whole thing on Saturday. I couldn't put it down! It was SO GOOD! At first, I kept wondering when Anaya would be introduced. Then she came as a baby! I am so glad you gave it a happy ending. I kept hoping :) The way you described the colors and the foods - it was beautiful, interesting, educational, entertaining. So when do you start on the next one - just kidding :) Congratulations on a very good book! I truly enjoyed it.

AWESOME BOOK, beautifully written, easy reading,very descriptive. I felt like I was watching a movie. After I started reading it, I simply could not put it down, I read it from cover to cover in three afternoons.
