THIS IS TRULY A GREAT RECORD I LOVE THE MASTERFUL PLAYING OF FRANK EMILIO IN THE BEST TRADITION OF CLASSICAL CUBAN POPULAR MUSIC,IM LOOKING FORWARD TO GET MORE MATERIAL FROM THIS MAESTRO !

I love every song on this CD.

I had the opportunity to see him perform about 6 mos. before he died. In the audience, directly behind us, sat a group of little old ladies who started singing and dancing as soon as he began to play. It was truly magical and I am so thankful I was there. Since that time I have searched for anything and everything I could lay my hands on.

It also amazes me that he is not better known outside of Cuba.

This is a beautiful recording, done by a master of music. I am not an expert in Latin jazz, but as a music lover I cannot recommend this recording highly enough. Swinging and melodic, it has the feel of classical music, with a Latin theme. The musicians are all in fine form, and the CD is consistently excellent throughout. Well worth the price!

I wonder why Frank Emilio does not have the popularity he deserves. If you think that the old guys in Buena Vista Social Club were good, you have to hear this guy's stuff.

This CD features great "Cuban" music, instrumental (some background stuff sparingly splashed here and there) and without the typically annoying lyrics found in Latin music.

Frank's piano-playing is great, but the instrumentation and orchestration really elevates this CD.
