5.0 out of 5 stars Reverence
This is Jeff Ball's best work to date, including his newest CD, Windtamer. From the very beginning, the music calms and relaxes. I used this CD to calm my baby when he had colic as a newborn. It never failed to calm him and put him asleep. If you like the cedar flute, you'll love this CD. Buy it today. You won't be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but I like two others even more
This is a good Album and I can recomend it. However, even more so, I highly recomend Jeff Ball's CD "Wind Tamer", my personal all time favorite Native American Flute CD, be informed that (Wind Tamer) it has some drumming, chanting and Native philosophy between songs but if you are looking for awsome solo flute playing this is it! Next, or perhaps it is a toss up for...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Spiritual, April 4, 2003

We bought the tape while driving around the Southwest and it captured the ancient Native American spiritual feel of the land so well we wore it out. I'm now buying the CD. I love that he describes his song journey in the notes. Highly recommend his work.

Never heard of Jeff until a friend of Jeff's gave me this tape to hear knowing I loved Native American. I have played it over and over. REVERENCE is one of my favorite tapes. It broke and I even taped it together so I could play it (missing some songs though) Would like to here more by him. Please let me know where to obtain them.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHY ISN'T THIS GUY HUGE?, May 18, 1999

This has to be the best release in years in the Adult Contemporary/Easy Listening/New Age arena. The songwriters all produce deeply moving pieces that transport the listener to a different place. The explanation for each song truly lends the guiding hand in that journey and matches the emotion generated completely. These guys have a very promising future. BRAVO!

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY POWERFUL MUSIC!!, May 18, 1999
By A Customer

I listened to this album over and over for 2 weeks after I first discovered it. "Free to Climb" is my favorite. Great movement. "Dog Days of Summer" is just that..lazy, hazy. "Glimpse of a Past" really struck me as the grounding sound for the whole album. Loved this effort and am eagerly looking forward to the next release.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music that is very relaxing., December 31, 1998

Out of Darkness and Flight of the Blue Raven are the two best tracks on this CD. Jeff Ball has a talent with the Native American flute that is amazing. The combination of the flute with contemporary instruments makes for a great mix that is very relaxing. The temp of Out of Darkness builds slowly, gets strong, and then quietly fades out again. The other tracks are great as well, and the final one, Flight of the Blue Raven, is powerful. Some of the tracks sound like they could be used in movies. This is a high quality CD. I look forward to the next Jeff Ball production.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but I like two others even more, May 19, 2010

This is a good Album and I can recomend it. However, even more so, I highly recomend Jeff Ball's CD "Wind Tamer", my personal all time favorite Native American Flute CD, be informed that (Wind Tamer) it has some drumming, chanting and Native philosophy between songs but if you are looking for awsome solo flute playing this is it! Next, or perhaps it is a toss up for diffrent reasons, I like the CD "The Shape of Light" by Jeff Ball. Both of these are excellent NAF CD's. Also, if you want to learn how to play the NAF check out Jeff Ball's (co-authored with Bruce Whitten) instruction booklet w/ CD "Trailhead of the American Indian Courting Flute". I am a NAF Maker, performer and teacher. I am not affiliated with Jeff or any of the publishers in any way. I just have a tremendous respect and liking for Jeff Ball's flute playing and his instuction booklet on playing the Native American Flute, it is the best introductory manual(simple, straitforward, well done and inexpensive and comes with a CD so you can hear what the songs are suppose to sound like!) out there and it is not necessary to read music! The Native American flute is a sacred spiritual instrument and a gift and a blessing to this planet. Jeff Ball's ability to play from the heart with emotion and talent can make it a very uplifting experience for the listener. Gregg Hammond

A friend recommended this particular CD to me several years ago. I finally got it and am glad I did. I enjoy native American music anyway, and Jeff Ball's Reverence is a gold mine! It is truly beautiful music.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Solid CD, September 21, 2004
By

I first heard this CD from a family member. The music is very soothing and simply puts you in a introspective and calm mood. Jeff Ball creates great music and I think this CD is put together quite well. There is a rhythm to it that echoes beyond the listener's ears. It's the kind of music you can put in your car on a long drive and allow yourself to forget about all the junk for a while. All of the tracks are great but if I had to pick favorites they would be "Southern Sun", "Take it as it Comes," and "Out Of The Darkness".
