These jars are cute.
I have the black jars
The picture shows the jars all have their own wooden spoons-- the description says only one jar would have a wooden spoon--
but they all have their own wooden spoon
Each one has good weight to them and look really nice.
Great buy for the price.
I normally try to buy things that already have reviews on them- I was worried that they might be kind of cheap looking but I am happy with my purchase

So many dissenting opinions on these canisters. But I decided to try anyway. They arrived intact (none broken), and I washed them, dried them, filled them with coffee beans. The 3 largest hold my regular, decaf, and a half-caf mix, and while they don't hold an entire package of coffee beans, it's OK b/c it's quick and easy to fill them. The lids are hollow so that when you flip the lid open, you don't have to worry that the canister is going to tip over. I like these a lot, and after using them for about a month, I'd say I finally found my solution to stale coffee. In fact, these keep my coffee beans as fresh on my counter top as the day I open the little packages the coffee comes in, and the canisters are easier to get the coffee out of than the little packages are! I am a coffee freak, spent a ton of dough on an espresso machine, get fresh roasted coffee beans delivered to my house, and have spent quite a bit of time finding something that was airtight enough to truly hold that nice flavor and smell of freshly roasted coffee. Don't try metal containers - they don't hold that flavor in as much as these ceramic with the rubber seal. And the dark color without windows helps preserve freshness as well.

These containers are really nice and they serve thier purpose the only reason i gave them 4 stars is the biggest one wont hold a whole package of flour. They are air tight and look nice in our kitchen.

I was looking for a set of black canisters for my kitchen, so after reading the reviews I decided to save a few dollars and try this one. I am VERY dissatisfied. The BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT is that they are already breaking apart. The silver clips on the side are very cheap, weak and breaking because it seems they cannot endure the opening and closing of the container (which has to be done to get inside. The canisters are way too small. The largest canister can barely hold 3 cups of sugar. I thought the canisters were going to hold a little more than they do. You have to be VERY CAREFUL when using the silver clips because they will bend and break off. The wooden spoons on the side rub against the top of the canister when opening, therefore creating more wear and tear. For only 19.99 you get what you pay for. I would recommend adding a few more dollars and getting a set much more durable.....which is what I am going to do. I do not recommend this product.

This product is definitely not air-tight. Moreover, the metal mechanism used to close the jar is cheap and bends easily.

I bought these for 2 reasons; they are black and they looked hefty, sturdy.
2 weeks after I bought them, the little metal clips that attach the snap clip, the one you push down to seal, are breaking! There is a metal rod that is oblong shaped that connects the top handle to the bottom handle and it seperated and slipped out. Now I can't seal.
Also, the little handle you push down to initiate the seal is bent! These are very poorly made. They won't last.
I am looking for something new to buy-that is what brought me here to Amazon.com and here they are.
Avoid them!

The black canisters are pretty, but the hinges are not strong; they pop out a lot. If you plan on using these daily like we do (for coffee), you will likely be frustrated by the hinges.

This cannister set is nice and sturdy. It looks just like the picture. When they are closed they are air tight. It is a good product at a good price. I wish they were a little bigger, but other than that I got what I was lookig for.

These canisters are stylish. They seal real well and the stuff stays real fresh in them. I am completely satisfied! In the desciption it sounds like you only get one spoon but you get four. One for each canister.

I was looking for something to hold coffee and sugar to keep on our counter. These are great. The other two canisters we ended up using for cat and dog treats. This way we have a nice looking, organized counter and we don't have the mess of dog and cat treat bags, coffee bags, sugar bags, etc.

One problem we've noticed is that the wooden spoons come so close to the canister lid that when you close the lid it can sometimes catch the spoon and snap off a part of it. It's happened to two of them so far. Thankfully we don't use all of the spoons, and mostly just keep them there for looks, but it's still kind of annoying.

The other thing other reviewers have noted is the smell when the canisters are new. Yes, indeed these canisters are kind of smelly at first. But that's only because of the ring of plastic they put on the lid to protect it, and help seal it to the jar. When I first got them, I took all of the plastic rings out and washed them thoroughly. I noticed the smell dissipated, and now it's gone.
