5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy Attractive Glasses
They survive a drop in the kitchen sink (from maybe 4") when your hands are wet and soapy! I needed juice glasses and something smaller than my crystal 16-oz ice tea glasses (which I use for practically everything), that I also wasn't as concerned about being fragile. These look good and fit the bill. Can't go wrong with Anchor Hocking.

3.0 out of 5 stars nice but chunky
I thought these glasses would be very nice for my everyday use. They are sturdy but too chunky. My small handed mother has a hard time holding these glasses because they are too wide for her to grip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Set of Glassware, January 12, 2012

Very happy to see my glasses came in one piece. I'm very happy with the style and heaviness of them. The small glasses are a little round but still fit in small hands. I do wish the tall glasses were a little taller. Overall am very pleased with this purchase. No cracks or odd deformities definitely earned 5 stars.

I was a bit reluctant to buy these glasses since pictures cannot always give me an accurate account. However, when I noticed that these were made in the USA, I thought that perhaps the quality was good. When this product arrived and I took a look at them, I realized that the pictures cannot really do justice to the good qualify of the craftsmanship! I mean, for $20 dollars that I paid I am extremely satisfied. Made in the USA means good quality, period.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great glasses, Great Price, AMAZING Anchor Hocking customer service!!, September 23, 2011

I've been holding out on buying a set of glasses for a long time. After some of my old glasses began to die off one by one (one dropped by a guest, one broke in dishwasher, etc.), I decided it was time to buy a new set. Out with the old, in with the new!

I started browsing around the internet, trying to decide what look to go for. Amazon, Overstock, Target, Walmart...finally decided on this Anchor Hocking set after watching BRIDE WARS. Kate Hudson uses a similar looking glass at the end of the movie. I was in love.

After researching similar glasses, I decided I wanted glasses that:
1) Be relatively inexpensive...I expect some to break at some point, and I wouldn't want to get super expensive ones.
2) Be available for a long time...in case a glass breaks in 5 years, I'd still like to be able to replace it.

From what I researched, Walmart has carried these for a long time, and I assume (hope) they continue to carry it for a long time. Same with Amazon.

After the glasses came, I unpacked the entire box and examined each glass. I love them! yes, they do look (or are) slightly shorter than I would have preferred...but it wasn't unexpected (someone else mentioned this characteristic in their review). The shorter 12oz glasses are also a bit wide. But someone else had mentioned that too.

Yes, the glasses are not PERFECT or blemish-free. But what a deal for the price!! Also, one of my tall 16oz glasses DID have a deep scratch/cut in the side. I contacted Customer Support on the Anchor Hocking website. I received a response the next morning--they got my address and sent me a replacement glass for my defective glass. (It took them a couple weeks to actually get it packaged and in the mail...but at least they sent me the glass!).

The Anchor Hocking customer support was very nice and helpful. Would definitely order/buy their products again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty and durable, February 23, 2011

I bought these to replace some significantly more expensive ones of a similar style that we purchased from Crate and Barrel about 6 years ago, as they have mostly all been broken along the way. We absolutely love these Anchor Hocking glasses and couldn't believe the price. They are very well made, wash great, and the thicker glass makes them very durable (i.e. my toddler has knocked one off the end table onto our hardwood floors and it didn't even crack or chip -- not sure how it survived but I'm impressed!) They look wonderful - not cheap or plastic-y at all - and we use them all the time. Highly recommend them!!

I looked around for a while to find glass set that I liked and this was the most unique yet classy set I found. They are good quality, weighted bottoms good thickness. They are hard to wash by hand and I would NOT recommend putting your hand in it, I would get one of those sponges on a stick. I have had a small issue with them turning themselves over in the dishwasher or when they are in the sink with such a heavy bottom and the way the top of the cup is designed. I also have bit of a time grasping the glass particularly the 16 ounce glass with it's bulbous bottom. Neither of the issues are big enough to keep me from loving them. Overall I would recommend these.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Terrible, March 16, 2011

Based on the other reviews, I'm not sure if I just got a box of defects or not but I'll never buy Anchor's again. I took a few pics to show how crappy these glasses are. All of the tall glasses had bevels in the rims, scratch marks on the bottom rims, one had a glass shard molded into the bottom (if I just washed it without examining, I would have sliced my fingers wide open), and now the kicker...I only took on one short glass to look at and there was a HAIR embedded in the bottom. I studied it for about 10 minutes and it's a hair, not air bubble or anything like that. Already printed my return label.

These are great, but they simply won't work with your imaginary friends. They got really upset and left me because they can't drink from reality glasses!
