I looked everywhere for a nice, simple design. I must have browsed hundreds of different styles. Anchor Hocking's Bolera set is just right - simple but not obviously.

The glass is just wide enough for cleaning thoroughly by hand and the bottom has a nice weight to it as well - not easy to knock over. The sides aren't terribly fragile, but they're not uncommonly sturdy either. I have broken a few.

Ordered on September 24, 2005 -- delivery now estimated by Amazon "sometime" after December 24, 2005. Three months (or more) for delivery seems excessive. Amazon should be ashamed for treating customers this way.
