This is an attractive way to store just about anything. We are trying to get away from plastic storage for food because of potential adverse health affects and were looking for a substantial size for dog food. This holds almost the entire bag (I think it was 15 lb bag). Only negative is that we've had some difficulty with the handle (which you assemble yourself). It doesn't fit tightly so I don't use it to lift it any longer. Other than that, it's great.

This is a nice looking jar. But... the handle is scary. It certainly does not seem to be very sturdy or functional. I definitely would not fill this jar 1/2 way and pick it up by the handle.... fear of it crashing to the floor is a major concern.

A bit awkward assembling the cover and handle, but otherwise very nice product... sturdy and the right size for storing vinegar.

I knew the size of the jar before I ordered, as the dimensions are clearly stated. In spite of that, I was shocked to see how big it was when I first pulled it out of the carton. It is big, bright, new, shiny, clean, & perfect. I don't think I will be using the bail wire because I like the jar too much to trust the handle to not fail. There is no second chance with glass.

The jar itself is good quality. The lid is fairly cheap and generic, and the handle is basically worthless. This is a large jar and it doesn't fit too well in standard sized cupboards and so forth, so make sure that this is the size you need.

I have four of these wonderful glass jars. While I agree with the other reviewers that I wouldn't trust the so-called handle, it is perfect for large volume or bulky pantry storage. I use them to hold large bags of rice and other staples from costco. They'll also hold a super jumbo bag of Costco tortilla chips, keeping them intact and fresh for a long time. And the lid is apparently a lot easier for certain people to use than a chip clip, so the big bag can actually stay fresh to the end. Would also work well for a jumbo batch of pickles, though I wouldn't choose it to hold drinks, because I think pouring would be unwieldy. Also big enough to store a 10-20 bag of pet food or bird seed. I might get a few more to store yarn, fiber, etc. in my craft room. Well prices for such a gianormous jar.

This jar is a very good size. The handle is a little flimzy but is not that hard to put together. The handle is okay for carying an empty jar but is not strong enough for a filled-up one. The bottom surface of the jar is not totally flat so the jar can be a little rocky sitting on the counter top.

I looked everywhere for large glass storage to keep staples. This was a find at a great price.
The handles are a definite plus. I am more than pleased with them and may order more in the future.

First time useing this jar. Very poorly made. Thin spot in the glass broke through while making butter. Be careful

We were looking for a replacement to a large coin back and was unable to find anything satifactory. We found this jar and while it may not be as big as we wanted it works perfectly.
