I ordered the "6 piece" one cup round food storage set and received ONE container with a lid. It is NOT a set. Amazon is refunding my money through their guarantee program.

sturdiness:
the glass is thick and strong. they go fine from microwave to room temperature surfaces. the lids are thick. they DO NOT LEAK (and i store them on side end in my lunch bag).

cleaning:
the glass cleans easily. the lids are a little difficult to wash by hand, you have to get into a pretty small crevice all the way around. and chili did stain the green of the inside.

size:
they are *exactly* one cup when filled to the brim. so if you are using these for portion control, be aware that you will be getting less than 1c of food (you need room to stir, room for bubbles in the microwave, and the lids actually sit down into the container pushing out some of the contents).

made in america:
the glass portion is made in america. the lids are made in china.

caution:
these get very hot in the microwave! lol, don't just reach in there and grab them. :)

These jars are great. Great seal, great construction, and there durability makes them well worth the extra money (if you aren't going to loose them).

I've lived many Summers during which I've experimented with a variety of food storage-container materials. Folks - fact is: this stuff rocks! Aesthetically elegant & effective functionality - come on now - just how often do you find that synergetic combo in this day & age? Hmm - x boy scout - would I lie? Kudos Anchor Hocking ...

Remember this size only holds one cup. I use it to store food items that come out of a tin or chopped seasonings and small left overs that I really want to keep, like shrimps and lobster. The cover holds snugly. I have experienced no difficulties with them.
