I bought this to use at a baby shower for displaying cupcakes because I'm philosophically opposed to buying kitchen items that do only one thing - so a dedicated cupcake tree was right out.

This set worked beautifully. Since the plate portions are not perfectly flat (as you can see in the picture), I used shredded paper basket fill to prevent the cupcakes from tilting inward. Filling the plates with M&Ms or jelly beans or other small loose candies would also perform the same function. A bonus was that, since the tiers are standalone, I didn't have to have them centered - I positioned each stand a little off-center on the one below it.

The result looked so good that people assumed I did this for a living - and it was just cupcakes decorated with colored sugar and cupcake picks.

I was a little concerned by another reviewer who said that the plate and the foot were cheaply glued together and that the glue was visible, but I think that might have been bad luck. My set looks great and all the pieces are clean where the plate and foot are joined.

I would absolutely recommend and purchase these again - in fact, at this price I'm thinking about getting another set.

Pros: Multi-functional, feels expensive because it's glass, looks great when serving.

Cons: The packaging is horrible - the box is divided into three triangles with a piece of bent cardboard and one tier goes into each triangle. No styrofoam, no paper, nothing at all to cushion the pieces - and the pieces don't fit that snugly into their sections. Mine arrived with no damage, and based on other reviews it looks like only a few people have had problems - but I'm really surprised that's the case. Still, at this price and value, I'd recommend taking the chance and purchasing this set - just purchase well before you need it, and make sure of the return policy, just in case something does happen.

I bought two of these a couple of years ago. I've done weddings, showers, Christmas parties,etc.. These cannot be beat! The look beautiful holding desserts, party favors, party snacks. I put one on each side of my Chocolate fountain to hold the fruit/snacks that are to be dipped into the chocolate. I am currently placing an order for 3 more, because they hold so much food and they keep the serving table from becoming to crowded. Love them !!!!

This is a great set to have on hand. The simple design mixes and matches with everything you own. Stacked it makes a great holiday centepiece even without food. Just use votives and greenery and voila! Used separately the pieces are available for treats, pies, and look great on the buffet table or at a luncheon with tea sandwiches. All in all-- a GREAT VALUE!

I bought 2 of these to put cupcakes on for my grandfather's 80 birthday. You can fit 24 cupcakes on one set of these. I love the versatility of them! One tier, large & small, large & medium, small and medium, all three.... I don't entertain that much, but used them yesterday at a jewelry party; they made my basic snacks look professional. This was much more practical than having a stand that is only built for cupcakes. Also they are heavy glass, seem to be well made, which adds to the elegance. Everyone needs at least one set. :)

I was looking for a tiered cake stand to display cupcakes for a wedding shower, and couldn't find one that was priced right and had flat tiers (there are many towers specific for cupcakes only). I finally found this one and it worked out beautifully. A guest from the wedding has asked where to get it for herself. I highly recommend it.

I do alot of banking and wanted something nice to display cookies, cup cakes, etc. Other stores only had two tiers but I wanted 3 to give it that pyramid look. Not to mention I preffered glass cause it goes with everything. White can be either too dressy or not dressy enough.

My only complaint would be it could be a bit bigger and maybe a bit taller. Great product at a great price though.

These are a great value and I was thrilled to find them. I had searched local retailers and online retailers and had difficulty locating them. I was glad to purchase them and they are really great!

I had planned a Christmas event that included mini desserts. These tiered platters were great for that. However, I was very disappointed that the packaging did not have a clear and written warning HANDWASH ONLY. I placed the smaller one in the dishwasher; the heat of the dishwasher unglued the top from the base. Doesn't stay together now.

These patters are beautiful. Nice clean lines and can be stacked all together or separately. I like to put a small vase with flowers on the very top teir...just the right touch.

It looks like I am the the third person to post about the product being broken in shipping....I got two today and both are broken. Had been counting on using them at my tea..........
