I juicer rather seriously, usually a half-gallon at a time. Given this, I wanted a measuring cup of similar size to juice into and from which I could pour into jars for storage. I found this one for a great price locally and so picked it up.
I don't think Anchor Hocking uses borosilicate glass any longer, but given that I have no plans for using this cup for hot liquids, I guess it's not such a big deal. And I like the fact that the measurements are both avoirdupois and metric, that that they're raised, and that the cup is actually 2 liters, making it a bit more capacious than a half-gallon.
The problem--and it's major--is that the pour is AWFUL, even worse than that on recent Pyrex cups (unlike my beloved vintage models). What good is a measuring cup that doesn't easily and effectively allow you to pour without spilling its contents? I spend a lot of money on produce (we don't grow our own in Manhattan) which I expect to drink, not wipe off the counter.
It astonishes me that this wasn't given more consideration by Anchor Hocking's product development department. People, if it has a spout, users expect it to pour properly (DUH). If I want to spill liquids, I'll pour from a bowl or some such.

This is the Glass Bowl I use when I make Almond Milk, I like it so much that I went and got a second one at the Place with the Red and White Circles by my House. It is Oven and Microwave Safe. It has Measurements all along the Glass Sides in Cups and ML. The 2 Quart Bowl has a very comfortable Big handle to Grab and Hold, and you really need it because it is Heavy. The measurements are 6 Inches Tall by 10 Inches Wide including the Handle

The Kitchen Batter Bowl Pours very well if you don't fill it with liquid all the way to the Top otherwise you going to have problems, I use a ladle to remove the first 1/3 of the liquid after that it Pours very well without any water Spilling, I don't use it for Batter, it is easy to clean I wash it by hand. The Kitchen 2 Quart Bowl is made of Thick Glass in the USA, I love that! ...Thank You D.D.

If only people would `read' instead of assume, there would be a lot fewer negative remarks about this product. The word 'batter' in the description is not superfluous in the naming of this device. It tells you what the intended use is for this apparatus. People are unhappy that it drips when used for pouring low viscosity liquids, but just about ANY large circumference vessel is going to do the same thing. The taller measuring cups with smaller diameter upper rims do a far better job of pouring `more liquid' materials. Even they have limitations; it's a geometry/physics relationship and the surface tension of the liquid is as much to blame as the vessel. The term ovenproof is more confusing because it isn't very likely that a thick mixture would be heated, but I suppose there are exceptions. Anyway ... if you are pouring batter, dripping is NOT a problem. If you use it for less viscous liquids don't expect it to have drip free experience unless you only fill it half to maybe two thirds full. You can't outwit the laws of physics so don't try.

I have so many mixing bowls and just went thru my cupboard to clean it out. This is my "go to bowl" that I ALWAYS use and so I ended up throwing most of the others out. I honestly never used them. I love the handle, the pouring spout and the fact that it is heavy glass and I can see what I am mixing. I pretty much pull this out every time I cook.

I bought for the raised markings, expecting to be able to read them after numerous cycles through the dishwasher.
But... I sent it back after my first use. It DRIPS down the front when pouring water.

This 8+ cup pitcher/mixing bowl/oven and microwave container is huge: just the thing when measuring out large amounts of fresh ingredients or stirring up pancake or waffle batter. Because of its size, you can measure out the ingredients that have to be measured (kinds of lettuce for a special large salad, for example) and then just add the ingredients that don't have to be measured, just cut-up, and you have saved yourself from having to use a separate mixing bowl.

If you are contemplating a large salad, you can leave all the ingredients in this pitcher, add the dressing, and mix in the one container: just serve the salad in a large salad bowl or several small ones.
