A Great Introduction to Ancient China for Kids!,

Although categorized as a book for 9-12 year olds this abundantly illustrated book was a big hit at my daughter's preschool. Each short vignette on crafts, food, clothing, city life, inventions, etc., is accompanied by wonderful colored photographs and illustrations. An ancient Chinese fable, "The Dragon King's Key" adds drama to the facts, and as a plus for classroom use, a glossary and index are included. This book is a good starting point for getting kids to think about life in the past. |
