ancient egyptian fashions by tom tierney is a great book. in this book you will see what old kingdom pharaoh's and their wifes dressed in, as well as princess's, scribes, painter's, egyptian couples of rank, dancer's, and women. you will also see middle kingdom pharaoh's and queen's, men and women, maidservant's from the court, dancer's and slaves. you will also see new kingdom pharaoh's including hatshepsut the female pharaoh, you will see queen's, noble couples, priest's, soldier's, court musicians, musicians, and a princess and a slave. you will also see gods like osiris, thoth,anubis, and amun. you will see the hair styles of ancient egypt as well. this is a great book on ancient egyptian fashions.

I know when I see the name Tom Tierney on a book of fashion paperdolls and costumes that it will be accurate, historic, and colorful. His work never ceases to delight me. The paperdolls and costumes were (are)wonderful!

This is a coloring book, whose illustrations are based on representations of the Ancient Egyptian people as seen on various temples, paintings and artifacts. Images presented herein show the fashions of Old, Middle and New Kingdoms. An entertaining booklet for children of all ages.

I ordered this book and the other, "Ancient Egyptian Costumes, Paper Dolls" by the same author, not for the coloring book and paper dolls, but because of the clear and simple depictions of the ancient Egyptian costumes, both in black and white and in color. My reason for buying these books, when I discovered them at Amazon.com, was not only for education, but for the ability to see exactly how the costumes, hair styles, shoes and accesories looked. Many books have templates of Ancient Egyptian dress, but most are difficult to interpret for my purposes.

My hobby is making and dressing dolls, and these books are invaluable to me to be able to draft and create patterns and fit them to the individual dolls I am dressing. Author Tom Tierney has produced just the right blend in his artistic renditions to give me the creative help I needed. These two books will be cherished additions to my doll dressing research library. Thank you Mr. Tierney, and thank you Amazon!

Gorgeous book with many great ideas for dance costuming. (Wish it came with historical color references) Pictures are clear and for the price, you can't beat it.

The book came very quick. When I opened It the book has very detailed drawings of the ages of Eygpt.
