Format: Paperback
This is an excellent introductory book. It consists of twenty double-page sections, which are -
Egypt - the gift of the Nile; Who worked in ancient Egypt?; Organizing the workforce; The scribe; `Servants of the Gods'; The doctor; Merchants; Dancers; The farmer; Fishermen; The hunter; The baker; Carpenters and coffin-makers; Spinners and weavers; The jeweller; Who built the tombs of ancient Egypt?; Pyramid builders; Egyptian artists; The embalmer; How do we know?; with a Timeline, Sources, Glossary and Index. Each section is illustrated with photographs of relevant artefacts.

This is an excellent illustrated introduction to the subject for younger readers, and can be read by grown-ups as well. It is an interesting read, and will give you a good background to the subject.
