Finding the title intreging, I had to look for myself.
Being a hobbiest researcher of Ancient Egyptian culture I was hoping to find pure "proverbs" if you will, within the pages of this book. However, to my dissapointment I found only a single handful of those. The rest it seems is slanted towards the montheistic per say. About 94% of the proverbs seem to be merely speaking praise to a western "God". To historical credit though it could also be interpreted as to be addressing a pharoh. However and more importantly, the "proverbs" as they are called seem to be nothing more than praise and not the gems of wisdom one would expect. Another item of point is that while there are gems of wisdom in most all of the worlds religions/cultures that one should take to serious consideration, this book is not purely Egyptian. While a great many things do come from the beloved ancient Egyptian culture, some of the proverbs in this book did not originate from that era, culture or area at all.
I think the book is good for soft entertainment value, but not for the serious reader.

Although the idea of a collection of ancient Egyptian proverbs is fascinating and worthwhile as wisdom literature, the Kindle version of this book contained a number of typos and the quality of translation was not always good enough to allow clarity in understanding the meaning of every saying. Additionally, not all of the quotations (such as those from the Kybalion) are likely to be genuine ancient Egyptian proverbs.
