Good children's introduction but nothing special,

This is a good children's introduction but nothing special. The book consists of 20 double-page presentations, with big text and a photographic illustration (or two) and occasionally a map, on various topics. There is nothing inherently wrong with it, but there are `better' books on the subject available. It is certainly not worth the ludicrous prices some sellers are asking.
I would recommend Dr. Anne Millard's Egyptian (Armies of the Past) instead (though with the same caveat about the price). |
