totally killer, September 14, 2009
Unanimated sounds like Everdawn, Gates of Ishtar, Prophanity, Fragments of Unbecoming, and At The Gates getting together with Dark Funeral. however, Unanimated sounds more like the former bands. a close listen shows you just how melodic they are. their music has influences of melodic death metal, black metal, and thrash. this also looks like an all-star band, as Peter Stjarnvind, who used to be in Entombed, and Richard Cabeza, who used to be in Dismember, are in this band. song no. 4, entitled "Dead Calm", has an Oriental flavor to it at one point in it, and song no.5, which is an instrumental called "Mereille" has acoustic and electric flavor to it. this is a very talented band. I recommend this cd to people that enjoy a wide variety of metal.
