5.0 out of 5 stars REAL ANCIENT GRIMOIRE
This text is a real ancient grimoire taken from the British Library and translated into modern English for the occult student. This not for the average Wiccan but, for serious students that KNOW Real Dark magick. Ifnot you will be shocked by the real Dark Magick. It's nice to see the actual ancient texts in print insteadof "made up"practices by some...

For those interested in the sorcery of medieval Europe, this book may look interesting - don't be fooled. It is a farrago of half-understood and often misrepresented material, lifted from both actual grimoires, and from the anti-magical works of the church. The author pretends that there are medieval 'black books' of diabolism - there are none. He presents material lifted from Gardnerian Witchcraft as part of 'satanic' ritual, and in general lies freely to his readers. Those interested in the real magic of the middle ages, including demon-summoning, will do much better to read Waite.

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of time and paper, September 12, 2002

This review is from: Ancient Grimoire of Dark Magick (Hardcover)
This is my first (and definantly last) IGOS published book. It is astonishingly badly written and the author states in the introduction that it's source is from "channeled" material to boot. The fake leather cover has the cheap appearance of a junior high school annual. It's hard for this reviewer to understand what makes this poor tome "ancient" or "dark", or for that point "magick"

1.0 out of 5 stars Tripe indeed, August 8, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Ancient Grimoire of Dark Magick (Hardcover)
The dust jacket advertises the book to be from documents in the British Library, but has no bibliography, no sources listed, and no footnotes. It appears to be a fabrication based somewhat on known medieval and later grimoires. It contains nothing of merit or interest to the serious researcher or student of magick. The binding is of a very poor quality, the pages look like photocopies, and the illustrations are very poorly rendered.

Although it has some merit for interest value, But there is no value to the Student no matter the years we have followed our chosen paths a student we all remain.
It copies from many text and mixes them up so badly it amost made me cry..:( .. look at the picture of the HAND Of GLORY! it showed the Circle For Black pacts...Sigh, leave it alone and buy as close as you can to the original books you can, EG Grand Grimoire, Grimoirium Veruim etc plus the Picatrix , Black books of Elverum but for value for money and information The Book of black Magick by Waite is the go.

5.0 out of 5 stars A VERY DARK TEXT, November 18, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Ancient Grimoire of Dark Magick (Hardcover)
This book is a rare translation from the Black Books in the British Library. Loaded with dangerous rituals for lust , demon pacts and much more. Its over sized text allows for easy reading and the acid-free paper will last hundreds of years. But, any real occultist would careless about how the book looks. Its the great content found nowhere else that excited me.If you are a true occultist, you will love this book. Remember, this black magick at its best.

Good to see a real Grimoire. This is dark stuff full of real ancient magick. Not for beginners. The book is printed on acid free high quality paper with a cool book jacket and a beautiful
oversized leather like hardcover.Quality rarely seen from other publishers of junk. But, beware this is DARK MAGICK. NOT for Wiccan types.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ancient Grimoire Of Dark Magick, April 18, 2006
This review is from: Ancient Grimoire of Dark Magick (Hardcover)
This books takes ancient rituals from the loads of rare grimoires in the British Library. Loaded with sexual domination rituals and other very dark material. Like all grimoires it is hard to read at times but, you get hardcore rituals of the darkest kind. If you are offended by Black Magic this is not your book. Anything get offers rare grimoires I am interested in. It so hard to get this type of information. This was hand bound and does not look like other hard covers. I like it but, it is different and looks hand made. I like the large size type as I am having vision problems.a must for the serious occultist, as I am.

4.0 out of 5 stars RARE BOOK OF ANCIENT RITES, August 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Ancient Grimoire of Dark Magick (Hardcover)
This is a translation from many books taken from libraries around the world. Real spells and how they are done in ancient times. This is not for the Wiccan or low level magician. They will not know the power it holds and will attack the text. But, remember true magick was for the elite that know. Are you one of the elite or a low level fool? NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

This book was very good and informative guide. I would say a must for the occult library. Although the author interpretation was a little off, he made a good statment on dark magic. If you are a practitioner of the occult and black magic I suggest that you pick this book up immedeatly!
