A great resource book
I bought this book some time back and its been a really great addition to my library! Its written in modern simple language, loads of pictures and diagrams. Its a really indepth look at the history, culture and daily life of the Inca.

Reads Like a Long College Term Paper
The best thing that can be said for this book is that it is long and filled with interesting facts about the Inca Empire. Unfortunately, the book reads like the author has done a lot of research and has to prove it. This book reminds me of a tedious college term paper. Unfortunatley, Patricia Calvert is not a very good writer and she lacks a deeper understanding of...

The best thing that can be said for this book is that it is long and filled with interesting facts about the Inca Empire. Unfortunately, the book reads like the author has done a lot of research and has to prove it. This book reminds me of a tedious college term paper. Unfortunatley, Patricia Calvert is not a very good writer and she lacks a deeper understanding of Inca history. The illustrations used in the book are of poor quality and most are historically innacurate. If you want better books about the Incas, check out Fiona MacDonald's "Inca Town" and Tim Woods' "The Incas".
