While the majority of offerings in the field of Ancient Civilizations are aimed at adults, this book is a perfect level for my fourth and fifth graders. During a recent research project, we relied on a variety of source material, including many Eye-Witness Books, but needed to expand our library to cover some of the cultures selected. This book on Ancient Japan is concise and well-organized, though more relative to daily life in ancient times than to the scope of history. I would recommend it to any elementary level library; however, sadly, FIND OUT ABOUT ANCIENT JAPAN may be out of print.
