Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis. He was the god of music, divination, medicine, archery, poetry, dance, and intellectual pursues. He was also known as Phoebus, god of light. Among the animals sacred to Apollo are the swan, the wolf and the dolphin.
