Good information, but the title is deceptive,

Good book, although seems to be more focused on Greek medicine than "ancient medicine". Explains how the 'Hippocratic Oath' is more that just an oath, but is really a window into the Greek world and the influence of Greek Mystery Schools (specifically pythagorean) on life of those times. Wordy, though, probably could have done the same thing in about half the book or at least made a large appendix with additional material. Serves its purpose, though.
