All topics are covered in double-page spreads. Ancient Olympic Games gives an overview of the history of the competitions, including the fact that athletes competed in the nude so that there would be no risk of females entering the games. Crises uncovers some of the controversies that have plagued the modern games. Dave Anderson's The Story of the Olympics (Morrow, 1996) and Davida Kristy's Coubertin's Olympics (Lerner, 1995) offer more in-depth accounts.
