About the Author
M.B. Mahmoud was born in Smithfield, North Carolina in 1988. For the next few years his traveled all over the country, until they arrived in Texas, and it was then when his interest in writing had begun. He started reading books in second grade and was only interested in fantasy books. He started writing short stories when he was in the fourth grade and was still nine back then. Mahmoud's first story was about a witch who lurked in the forest in search for an object, though he does not t remember much about it, he was quite fascinated by his writing skills. The author also wrote stories about Tom & Jerry which weren't that funny, and at the age of eleven, he wrote a group of short stories, all of which were collected in a notebook, after that he forgot about writing as school and college took up most of his time. Ironically, the Mahmoud started writing
The Ancient Prophecy during college. It was supposed to be submitted to a writing contest and it was only four pages long, but it never got through. Mahmoud's teacher got a hold of it and never submitted it.
The author was very fond of Egypt since he was a little kid. He would always ask his mom about the secrets of the pyramids, how they were built and what was hidden within them. She would tell him that there were many things hidden inside, an underground temple and treasures protected by an ancient curse. The author's imagination burst into action and began writing his story in the shades of his college building. The story grew to a sum of four hundred pages very quickly and he submitted his book to be published. The Ancient Prophecy: The Key of Ankh, is the first book in the series of six books. Mahmoud filled it with his craziest dreams, the ones that he couldn't live in real life and the rest of the books are already in his head. These books are going to become his legacy and his world, and he is going to work hard on making them the world's number one bestseller, as time goes by.
