Educational and fun! Great for kids of all ages!,

Most people associate the word "history" with boredom, but with the Treasure Chest series, kids develop an interest in history through exciting hands-on experience. This wonderful kit is jam-packed with fun crafts and games that let the kid have a good time while learning something about the civilization of ancient Rome at the same time! Some examples of the activities that come with this kit are: instructions to wrap your own toga, a mosaic to color yourself, cardboard pieces to build a model of a Roman villa, a pamphlet with information on the civilization and its various emperors, a board game about ancient Rome, and much, much more! Best of all, everything fits snugly inside the Treasure Chest which comes with its own lock and key, so kids can keep their treasures safe! Give your child a real gift that leaves them with a life-long interest in history, and they'll feel like they've discovered a Treasure Chest!

Hi! You can call me StoryMaker. Treasure Chests: Ancient Rome is a fun-filled kit that teaches history! I'll give you a few lists to explain more about this fun item. For those who don't know, pros are good things about an item and cons are bad things about an item.
Pros: The wax tablet you can write in is super-cool! The book tells you lots of really fun facts! My sisters made up funny stories with the paper dolls and I look forward to making them soon! It comes with a cool-looking scroll with information on roman togas, and how to make your own! It comes with a super-nice timeline to hang in your room or just to look at! Cons: It's hard to open, a.k.a. unlock. I had to ask my mom how, and the key that's inclosed dosen't work for opening well. I haven't made one of the roman togas yet, but it seems like too much work. I couldn't get the necklace-like thing on my neck. Probably a few other cons...but still a GREAT item worth your money! If you want to learn about The Roman Empire or to have fun, buy this kit! The Ancient Rome kit covers more than 2,500 years of history and adventure. It was so varied it kept our whole family engaged. When we were done, a Social Studies teacher happily took the remnants.
The sturdy, lockable storage box ("treasure chest") has several storage areas. It includes a time-line, board game, map of the Roman empire, a mosaic to color, a model of a Roman villa (put it together yourself), two dressable paper figures, a Roman scroll giving instructions for creating your own toga, a replica wax tablet and stylus, an amulet, adjustable laurel wreath, and - of course - an informative book with great illustrations.
