5.0 out of 5 stars Flower of Life Review - by Mari from Connecticut

1.0 out of 5 stars A NEW AGE CASH-COW. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!
On the back cover of this book it says 'Drunvalo Melkizadek's life experience reads like an encyclopedia of breakthroughs in human endevour'???
Not to me it doesn't, judging by the scant and unimpressive biography in this book (I get the feeling long spells on welfare are papered over). Drunvalo presents himself as some kind of academic genius as well as a...

5.0 out of 5 stars Flower of Life Review - by Mari from Connecticut, December 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
After reading The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Book - Volume I, I was able to add more pieces to the great puzzle of life. Drunvalo takes difficult topics and explains them clearly. He gives his audience much to think about. I have seen him speak on two occasions and found him to be kind, clear and very informative. He is not arrogant as one reviewer said. He meets with people all over the world and tells you of the latest discoveries. He has studied physics and the arts which gives a balance you don't often see. The book shows many drawings of sacred geometry, the MerKaBa and pictures of the sacred sites and artifacts along with his explanations. Book II will be out soon and I am looking forward to purchasing it. If you're a serious seeker of the mysteries of life, read his books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - practise discernment, October 4, 2006
By
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
I'm reading this and Vol II for I think about the 4th or 5th time in about 5 or 6 years. Every read feels like a new gift; I get more out of it each time I look at it. Just over 6 months ago (end of March 2006) I finally was able to take the Flower of Life workshop with a facilitator sanctioned by Drunvalo. My merkaba has been up and running ever since, and I am no longer the same person I was before the FOL workshop. I have changed profoundly in ways that I am unable to articulate. But I have to say, if this work doesn't resonate with you, doesn't feel right, let it go. It's not for everyone. Look for something else that gets your juices flowing, or don't. It doesn't matter. If this work peaks your interest, read both volumes, and if you are still stoked about it, set the intention to attend a workshop and watch your life change dramatically. If you are ready for the work, the work will change you in ways that are indescribable. Once you begin to wake up, to see the light, there is no going back. It's not always easy, but it is a great ride and worth the ticket price. Have fun. Peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Consciousness Raising, October 21, 2000
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
This book is not for those who think "in the box." It IS for those desiring to expand their mental horizons. In this book the author talks about the 5 levels of human consciousness, the MerKaBa(the energy field which surrounds all living things), and explains with geometric diagrams, a very interesting interpretation of the Biblical story of Genesis. And there is a lot more in this book to blow your mind. Of course, there is no way to "prove" any of this, however, it IS information that you can apply in your life to see if it works for you. I have had personal experiences with some of this material that makes it real for me. It is written in a conversational tone, because the book is an edited transcript from a series of lectures the author gave. The subject matter is very deep. Don't pick up this book if you are looking for a light read, but if you are a seeker of truth, you will surely enjoy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Confirmation AND a quite a ride!, December 28, 2002
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
Let's just say that synchronicity led me to Dru's books (vol. 1 & 2). I put off reading them until I actually met the guy at a seminar, and then I "got" it. His message is really way out there: you've got to read from your heart. But what he's talking about is so familiar - we all know this stuff; we just forgot. Well, this is going to help you remember. Dru is a scientist, and he really loves math & physics, so hold onto your hats, because these books are deep, at times. But they are also like water to someone in deep thirst. They fill gaps in our history and answer those little niggling intuition urges we hear inside. Trust the message and do not judge the messenger. He is a real man, normal, funny and trying to live just like you and me. Trust yourself as to what you will feel when you read these words. That funny feeling around your heart area is there for a reason. After reading these works, you'll know why.

4.0 out of 5 stars TO BE READ WITH BOTH MIND AND HEART OPEN, December 10, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
This is a book not recommended for those stuck in mainstream views of the Reality who are unwilling to expand or to embrace new/old interpretations of it. But it certainly will be a delightful, insightful reading for those who intuitively have always known that our sciences, religions, and the official history of our life in this planet, have been twisted, censored, manipulated by the powers that be, or just been partially presented to the general public in order to keep them unaware of its real potential and of what's really been and still is going on in this planet Earth.
Unless you've had similar experiences to his, you'll find Drunvalo's stories to be just a pile of bull. This is a book specially written for those of us that have been or still are in touch with other aspects of the One Reality beyond this material plane. Some of the information presented in this book can't be proved to be authentic using regular research methods, some of it can be easily found in books, press articles, filmed material and the Internet. It depends on how open your heart and mind are for the Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Vol 1 (that applies to Vol 2 as well) to be either one of your all-time favorites or just a complete disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another perspective on reality, January 20, 2004
By
Steve Uhlig (Berlin, Germany) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
As can be seen by the mitigated reviews of volumes I and II, reviews merely reflect what the readers were expecting from reading the book. As for all spiritual messages, the way one feels towards some message only reflects what one has found in it compared to one expected from finding in it. Everything already lies within yourself, so reading is just like a mirror that reflects what lies within you, but through the help of someone else's experience. If you're open to another way of seeing the world, you'll find something in these books. If you're not ready to try to understand the writer's viewpoint, then it is better not to open these books, and this is true for anything you read, be it spiritual, religious, philosophy, scientific,...

Living is an internal experience, the outside world is what you want it to be. If you take it as a friend and teacher, you'll learn from it, if seen as an enemy, then you'll have to fight. It is up to you to decide which way you want to go. Are you ready to accept the viewpoint of others or do you think you already hold the truth ?

To make things clear, these books (vols. I and II) provide a nice perspective on the nature of reality, by insisting on the geometrical nature of the world and the relationships between several planes of reality. There are other perspectives, any one being as right as another according to its proper assumptions. If you thing this view might help you, then read it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Interesting and Thought Provoking - even with a grain of salt!, August 22, 2007

This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
I whole-heartedly enjoyed this book. It brings alot of concepts of sacred geometry into a perspective that is fairly easy for one to grasp - even someone like me who is fairly mathematically challenged.

There is certainly alot of fringe theory and science included, along with channelled material about the very ancient history of Earth (Lemuria, Atlantis, etc). I take this kind of stuff with a hefty grain of salt, but allow myself to be taken along for the ride for the duration of the book. It certainly makes for an interesting story, and does provide a great deal of food-for-thought about many aspects of the mainstream version of history.

Whether or not you choose to remain open minded to that kind of thing, the information on sacred geometry and it's application - which is really the heart of the work - is valuable no matter what path you are coming from. You could discard all the fringe theory and history, and STILL come away with alot of really amazing knowledge that is based in MATH...and you really can't fudge math.

So my advice is to not throw the baby out with the bathwater if you don't like the fringe material. The info on sacred geometry is enlightening and facinating and will give you alot of new energy to integrate into your spiritual practice - whatever that may be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another small step, March 25, 2002
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
What is the universe made of? How was it created? Is matter real or an illusion? Who and what are we?
Niels Bohr, when he received his Nobel prize on physics, said (I'm not quoting exactly because I can't find the quote) that after a lifetime of study and research he had reasons to suspect that matter does not exist.
Energy would simply display patterns through vibrations of particular geometrical forms and frequencies, creating the appearance of matter. This would explain the duality of particles (they both act as waves and as particles of dense matter).
If you really (and I mean really) ask yourself about the reality of matter, you will realize that it makes no sense. There cannot be `indivisible' particles, because the moment you theorize the existence of a particle it has to be divisible. The concept of the atom dates back to ancient Greece, and it is in the Greek language that the word finds its source, meaning exactly indivisible. This concept has stuck ever since because it was a way to interpret reality and it also tremendously helped science. It was a reference point, if you will, a baseline for our mental picture of the reality that we perceive through our five human senses. Today, however, science is beginning to really question the nature of matter.
So, what is the true nature of the universe? Theorizing on the geometry of creation, Drunvalo Melchizedek attempts to describe and prove that our true nature is not limited to this crude flesh (and here I'm quoting no less than Yoda!), but is much greater.
There is no separation between a human being, the tree in front of him/her, and the dirt he/she is walking on. It's all one and the same thing. The fact that our soul has chosen to express itself in this dimension through a body of flesh and bones does not mean that it's limited to it, or that the flesh and bones are the reality.
I am referring to both volumes of this book, and I am sure that by now you both have an idea of what you will find and whether you may enjoy it. The text has lengthy passages and it contains errors, so it could certainly undergo editing. But is a flower beautiful because it is perfect? I don't think so.

5.0 out of 5 stars A three time read!, July 15, 2000
By
Michele Marcell (San Jose, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
As an avid reader of diverse subject matters, I found this book riveting. In fact, have just re-read it after several months. No, there may be little proof for many of his theories other than that of the reader's gut experience. (My gut says yes, yes, yes.) Yet, all of my reading (some of which he concisely covered) ties together in fascinating ways with this information. As with most metaphysical experience, you may not be able to prove it, but can you DISprove it? Drunvaloe's style is conversational while interlacing vast stores of knowledge and experience into fascinating, educational and digestible form. Can't wait to receive Volume two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Take a Leap of Faith, March 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life: Volume 1 (Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life) (Paperback)
This is an excellent overview of our multi-verse and insight into hidden dimensions and information long since forgotten. It is not for those looking for a simple feel-good self-help manual or for those new to spiritual exploration. This is an advanced manual and requires an open mind and heart to understand the truths it contains, without taking everything so literally. It tries to describe a multi-dimensional world in 3D terms, consequently many things naturally get lost in the translation. It shakes many preconcieved ideas about who we are and where we are headed as a human race. Closed minds need not apply. If you demand proof for every new concept and idea or need your thoughts to be sanctioned by your religion, government, or next door neighbor before you believe them, this book is a waste of time for you. If you are an independant thinker, want to open your eyes to a world of unlimited possibilities, where true freedom exists and are not afraid to challenge yourself, you might find some great guidance here. The truth is not 'out there'...it is 'in here'. Welcome to the Real World.
