This a terrific light. I love the way it looks and it is very unique. It gives off a warm, orange glow. It is nice to look at. If their is any truth to the advertising, then I am getting blasted with negative ions and I guess that is a good thing. It makes a great desk lamp. I licked it to see what it tasted like; not the best idea I ever had.

If this is such a great light, why the 2 stars you may ask?

1. Price. This was much more expensive than it should be. It was a 6-8 pound light, about 8" tall and 4-5" round. I don't recall the exact price but I think about $60 with free amazon shipping.

2. It arrived with a broken switch and a broken bulb. I am a pretty handy guy, so I took it all apart and fixed it, MacGyver style. Most people would probably send it back. It was a Christmas present so I didn't have the luxury of returning the item.

My parting thought is that a salt lamp is great thing to own and I am glad I have one. If you want to buy one, I recommend you do so from a different seller and pay the shipping.

Granted, it doesn't cost a lot, but I did expect it to last a while. When it is working it gives off a lovely warm ambient light. We really enjoyed it for the first week or so and then noticed it was off. Like another reviewer mentioned, this seems to be a wiring issue. Sometimes if we move the wire around this comes back to life; other times it does not. If you decide to buy this one be sure to save the box and packing materials.

I don't don't why these lamps work, but they do. I was having an ongoing problem with insomnia. After, putting one of these lamps in my bedroom and leaving it on all night, I have slept though the night every night since. I think that the lamps are calming and beautiful. I am amazed by the reasonable price. Although, shipping costs are more than the lamps cost. The lamps were packed well and shipped in foam peanuts. I have purchased four of these lamps so far and all are working great. I have already recommended these lamps to my friends and family.

I ordered 4 rock salt lamps out of desperation for better health. The first night all four were plugged, turned on and put in my bedroom with the door closed. The very first night was tough sleeping with night lights glowing, but when I got up the next morning, my sinuses were clear for the first time in about 6 months. Yes, I do mean six months. I have allergies !!!!! LOTS of allergies !!!!! I am keeping the lights glowing and breathing better everyday. I took the larger lamp to work and have received nothing but praise and comments about how peaceful co-worker feel when they walk by my cubicle. Some even come inside to sit and breathe in front of the lamp. This should increase your sales from West Virginia. Now for the uh-oh. Two of the four lamps did not have the plastic covering over the wooden base on the bottom of the lamp to hold the bulb clip in place, so they fall out when moved. Need a little quality control to check the finished product. I hope that will be a job in America; even in West Virginia. Yeah! Overall the better health makes loose bulbs a small stuff to not sweat. Thank you.

Love the lamp. It came on time and in excellent condition.

I wish the lamp had a little more pink color. It has very little

color. But other than that I am very satisfied.

BEAUTIFUL PRODUCT..... HOWEVER, SHOULD NOT INCLUDE THE MINI BULB NEEDED. WAS SMASHED UPON ARRIVAL, BUBBLE WRAP FILLED WITH 100 TINY PIECES OF GLASS. WOOD BASE HAS SMALL CRACK IN IT. WILL TRY TO GLUE. OVERALL THOUGH VERY HAPPY. THIS IS A GIFT I PURCHASED FOR SOMEONE... BUT I OWN ONE AS WELL.

This is my second rock salt lamp. I enjoy the warm glow. Also, they are interesting conversation starters!

Just wanted to add my review after reading the previously posted one. Mine worked beautifully when arrived, no problems. And I guess they exchanged the one for the persohn which didn't work, so that is a nice indication. I'm actually ordering a second one for my house, the first is in my office. =)

I bought this light as a nightlight for my son. It's pretty cool looking, but the first one had to be returned because it didn't work at all, and the wiring on the replacement is loose and it cuts out if you move it. My husband is going to fix it since my son likes it so much, but it would have been nice to not have to do that. It was pretty inexpensive, though.
