This is a long awaited book for people wishing to increase their psyhic abilities.The author teaches how to open the third eye and crown chakras.These techniques work in a very shot period of time if not right away.Mr De Long also teaches how to see the human aura and project the astral body.A must read for souls seeking knowledge.Many authors would put these teachings in three books,not one.Will become a best seller.

This book teaches you how to see the human aura with detailed information about the colors. The chakra system and kundalini are covered in detail, also. Many exercises are provided within. Great book.

When I first picked up this book, I got excited just thinking about the stuff I could learn from it .. chakras , reading auras, activating the third eye etc. The introduction is interesting, it talks about various esoteric studies in various cultures (and makes some pretty controversial statements regarding Christianity). Inside there are a lot of simple diagrams and chants, to activate chakras, the third eye, aura reading, channeling etc. But I think it is necessary to warn people that fascinating as this is, don't take it lightly. This is not some kind of New Age Experiment. Channeling, is a pretty dangerous thing to get into unless you learn from a properly qualified person , only after it is ascertained that it is safe for you to do it( in Ayurveda people of the body type Vata-air are warned not to attempt channeling).The problem with this book is that , while it offers you the option to learn something wonderful, it fails to warn you about how dangerous it is to dabble in these things. Not everyone can or should attempt the specified exercises. So who 's to judge whether you may attempt it not? I'm sure there are people qualified enough to judge who can and can't undertake the exercises given, but I just don't know where you `d find a competent person of this nature. My advice would be to read this book but limit the amount of exercises you follow that are specified in this book. Esoteric knowledge is as dangerous and useful as western medicine because it either can harm you (when used carelessly) or benefit you (if used wisely).

sc7 is right, there is no warning about the dangers of opening the channels, and if you're not prepared things can go wrong. this isn't for everyone and the faint at heart and isn't somthing to dabble in and take lightly, you either have an 'ability not yet fully developed sychic' gift and need to fine tune it or you don't. I have sychic abilities passed down from my mom who is spiritually aware, mine hasn't been fully developed, but I had many brief experiences with presence of angels and spirit/souls (the word: ghosts is an insult)., ( a spirit/soul is a person who passes away and hasn't crossed over yet for reasons), apparitions positive or neutral energies (they don't bother you) and then you have a negative energy presence, believe me that is not a pleasent experience.
this book will help you to develop the sychic ability and to fine tune it. don't think this will happen over night.., it takes time just like exrcising, learning Jazz, Ballet., i think you got the drift.
just read the whole book, yes begining to end, every page and no skipping chapters on subjects or you'll miss the whole picture.
some of you may be excited to start immediately, but like learning.., don't rush into things.
I hope you find the spiritual awareness that you need to help you learn and understand better.

I have been a professional psychic for 17 years, and I read many of the books published on the subject of psychic abilities. I found this book to be very understable, with easy exercises to open up one's own psychic abilities. Contrary to what another reviewer has had to say, I do not feel that there is anything in this book which could be considered "harmful" or "dangerous." Now I'm as open minded as the next person, and this book had some really good information in it about chakras and auras and things like that, but I had two problems with this book. One, the exercises that it mentions are all the SAME! Whatever you are working on- auras, chakras, channeling, etc- you sit there infront of a mirror with a candle. Are there no other ways to meet your spirit guides or study your aura? Secondly, every chapter would start off with a quote. That in and of itself was okay, but several of the chapters began with the author quoting himself, with no references to previous writings or anything, so for all we know it could be something he said on the bus to some guy! I thought that was both pompous and eccentric. So my advice to you is to look for something else. This book has information in it that can likley be found in a more informative and reader-friendly style.

I expected more from this book. It tries to claim too much for which the book would have to be a 1000 pages! Instead it is the exact opposite, it is just a few techniques from ancient egypt and some techniques from other cultures. This book is just the tip of the iceberg. Sort of like a weak version of cliff's notes.
Each chapter in this book could be a book by itself, and by that I mean the material presented here is very shallow. It tries to take a 4000 year old system and condense it to 20 pages while losing the real meaning along the way. This is a very good book for beginners. Think of this book as a sort of glossary you can use for future research in a real book. Although I have throughly based this book, you should buy it. It is well worth the price for $10. Frankly, there is stuff in here I had no clue about. I'm just disappointed at the books shallowness. Buy it!

I have purchased multiple copies of this book to pass on to those that seem to show up in my life seeking to further their path towards enlightenment. It is such a simple, yet well written, book and teaching tool. It is also a great teaching tool for anyone new to or interested in learning about many facets of spirituality.

This a good book, and easy to follow. Good for those who want the easiest path to up their ESPs. But not for those who are psychics.

This book has some good information, but to moderen psychics, its out of date. Book little misleading, but also has some good information as well.
