Our first grader has been interested in Egyptions (started with a museum visit) and Ancient Peoples. We came across the book after trying to edit bible chapters to make them bite sized. This is a great find. It is interesting (he sat through the entire book in one sitting), has drawings that help to make the story clear, side bar tidbits and is concise (each story covers a two page spread) and informative. We'd recommend this and others by this author.
