A Must-have Singlewall,
By Bruce L (IL, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Anderson Bat Company Slowpitch NanoTek SPA Softball Bat (Sports)
I bought one of these after hearing a lot of good things about them. Because of the balanced feel of the bat I went with a 29 oz bat, as at the time I normally swung 28 oz bats. One of the most important things I have to say about this bat is... DON'T GIVE UP ON IT! While this bat does not have a "break in" period like composite bats, the Nanotek may take some time to get used to. Because it is "barrel weighted" as opposed to endloaded it does swing differently from a lot of bats out there. Also, the sweet spot is located a little closer to the endcap than many may be used to. I thought it hit OK at first, and then when I "mis-hit" a ball a little closer to the endcap the ball REALLY flew. The Nanotek can hang with just about every bat in my bag as far as performance goes, and I have had no problems with durability either. Oh, and I find the smaller knob on Anderson bats to be much more comfortable compared to "standard" sized knobs.
When it comes down to it, this bat is a MUST HAVE for singlewall or metal leagues, and can hold its own even outside of that.

Best singlewall ever made, great ASSA bat in it's own right!,

Pros: Hot out of the wrapper, best singlewall ever made. I use it in every ASA league I'm in.
Cons: Sweetspot is a little hard to find at first, but once you nail it, this bat is unstoppable. Many singlewall leagues will not allow this bat. |
