When it arrived I thought it looked small. the cup will hold 1 cube of butter. Others stated the butter fell out, I took note of that and let the butter soften a bit so I could smash it into the cup and it has not ever fallen out. I when replacing the water I put ice water into the cup up to the top and let it get cold (my kitchen is warm) dump the water then add 1/4 cup ice water then invert the butter cup into the container with water. Love not having a messy butter dish to deal with. I wish they would make a larger one for when guests are over you won't rkun oiut of soft butter. Love this product and will be giving as Christmas gifts to my daughters.

I knew I wanted a butter bell, but I wanted plain white and I really didn't need a large one! There are plenty out there, but this one seemed like the best size for me. My grandparents had one at their house and I loved the idea of having soft butter all the time! This is a great little invention!

This is the second butter keeper I bought because I found that having just one made it difficult to have enough soft butter at all times without having to wash it out in order to reuse immediately. This way when one gets low I simply fill the spare one and refrigerate it until needed. Then the emptied one can just go in the dishwasher to be cleaned and then refilled at my convenience. I have never had butter drop out of either butter keeper but depending how well it is packed in initially and how hot the kitchen is I suppose the butter could slide out into the water.

Love the idea of not having slimy butter. Looks fresh all the time. Gotta pack it in there real good.

Does exactly as advertised. Holds one stick of butter. Bring butter to room temperature before cutting up and pressing into mold.

I have seen these before but could not find one until I went to Amazon, it keeps the butter soft and fresh and we love it, I purchased several more for gifts and they all love it

I live in Tennessee and it is warm here in the summer months. I keep the air on at about 74 degrees. I have no problems with my butter dropping into the water even in the warmer months. It is a joy to have smooth, spreadable butter at ready. I have purchased two more as gifts.

We love storing our butter with a butter crock. Unfortunately, we dropped our last one and replaced it with this one. The shape is all wrong. It doesn' have enought of a curve to it and the butter falls out.

This is my second butter keeper and I love having room temp butter at my fingertips. No more waiting for hard butter to soften for toast in the morning.
