I read this book a long time ago when it first came out. I had to do a history report on a book about the Civil War. While everyone else did book reports about the battles and some even did what made the South secede, my teacher gave me an A+ and a comment that "it was good to read about the soldiers and hardships they had to endure while in captivity." My sister lent me the book and I was just able to get my hands on it again through your company. But the original book I read was not in the pristine condition that this was in. Thank you for an excellent book.
