Bought this product last June. Then it stopped working after two months. Have to get a exchange, and again the exchanged one stopped working yesterday. Just dead. Do not buy this, it's a waste of money. Will not ever buy this brand again.

I have fine hair and was looking for a low-power dryer because a normal hair dryer would blow all the body out of my hair. The Andis 80605 with dual wattage settings handles the matter well. It does not actually blow with less power but the lower wattage setting allows time for a bit of brush styling before the hair is totally dry. It works well for the style of hair (short) and type of hair (fine) I have. I am quite happy with the product.

I bought this for the low eco friendly 1200 watt setting - the heat is not that hot. you have to use the dryer for a longer period of time to fully dry hair. It might be more eco friendly for you to just use the 1875 watt setting for a shorter amount of time.

it's pretty loud on any watt setting.

Overall, I just wanted a cheap dryer to use for a year - it gets the job done and the attachments are pretty neat.

I found this hair dryer while looking for a "green" fashion option and have been very pleased. I can dry my thick long hair on the 1200 setting just as fast as my old dryer did at 1875. It's not any noisier than my old dryer and it has attachments too! Great product at a great price!

Pros: Compact, lightweight. Power use options.
Cons: Only two airflow settings, and on the high setting, the motor is high-pitched and very loud; my cat flinched and ran out of the room; it hurt my ears too.
Not a keeper.
