5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it's a throwback to the 80's, but...
I love the combination of styling tool and hair dryer! It makes it so much easier to get the heat directed at the roots and gives it better lift without using multiple sized brushes. And the ceramic-Ionic component has cut my drying time in half. I am styled and out the door in just over 5 minutes!

2.0 out of 5 stars really weak. wouldnt recommend
I bought this hairdryer as an extra but for an 1875 watt blowdryer this hairdryer is weak!! The medium and high settings blow equivalent air. Maybe I just got a defective one. I have a conair one that is much better.

It does everything it says it will - nice drying, not too hot, very even, and the attachments work well. The heat is very even and it does a good job. This is kind of a "cadillac" of hair dryers for people who want to pamper their hair. I love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Makes straightening a breeze!, February 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Love this dryer! I've never been able to manage too well with a regular hair dryer - dryer in one hand, brush in the other, trying to reach behind your head and you sort of need a third hand. I use this dryer with the brush attachment and it gets my long, naturally curly, hair dry, straight and smooth in minutes. The settings work well and I love the cool-shot button, because it does get really hot, even on medium. It's never once shut off on me like some dryers do when they overheat.

The brush attachment is better than most, but could still use some improvement. Other brands I've looked at and tried had horrible plastic bristle brushes that just ripped hair out. The natural bristle brush on the Andis doesn't do that, but I do find it to be too soft to grab hair. I have to sort of hold my hair against the brush while I dry. How about a vent brush attachment? Now that would be perfect!

1.0 out of 5 stars Outright Lie! NOT Ceramic Heat., January 6, 2012
This review is from: Andis 82105 Ceramic Ionic Styler Hair Dryer (Health and Beauty)
Let me say first, I did not buy this on Amazon. I saw it in a department store and bought for my wife for Christmas. The box says "Even-heat ceramic technology" with the word ceramic in bold type. This is the only reason I bought it. Ceramic heat is wonderful, it produces smooth, even heat and is self regulating so that it will not overheat. No singed or scorched hair, no shutting down from overheat, no fire hazzard as exists with conventional nichrome wire heating elements. The problem is, this dryer is NOT ceramic technology! It is just the same conventional nichrome wire heat. This infuriates me, and I will be returning it for a refund tomorrow. Too bad it wasn't what it claims to be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Blowdryer, July 17, 2011

This is a great blowdryer and very inexpensive too. It comes with the necessary attachment combs so I don't have to buy ones that never quite fit right like other hand held blow dryers. There are 2 different comb attachments for different hair textures. This gets my hair ready for a flat iron when I decide to straighten it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job!, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Andis 82105 Ceramic Ionic Styler Hair Dryer (Health and Beauty)
I definitely have not had the negative opinion on this dryer as other customers have had. My natural hair has very tightly coiled curls, so a normal dryer without a comb attachment only can do so much. I put the dryer on medium and blow dried my hair in sections, and it dried my hair so fast, and straightened it well! Now, I don't have to deal with the hassle of not being able to comb through my hair easily. My only dislike about the dryer is that it is kind of on the larger side, and I wish the attachments were so big/long, but aside from that, it works well for me, and saves me time and frustration! Plus, you can't be the price!

I recently purchased this dryer. I'm Asian with long black hair and was looking for a light weight, streamlined dryer with good air flow. The straight body design is much better than the "L" shaped dryer and easier to control. This dryer has brush attachments which helps speed up the drying time. I prefer a moderate air flow instead of the high volume styles that tend to dry out my hair. I recommend this dryer for those who want a gentle but thorough drying and styling capabilities.

After only using it once I noticed the bristles on the brush attachment have already started to flatten. I am returning it because I can only imagine what it's going to look like after daily use for only a month. I noticed another reviewer wrote s/he is looking for replacement attachments. I'd rather just buy a better quality product to start with. Also, the power of this hairdryer doesn't even match my cheaper Conair dryer that I bought at the drugstore and was hoping to replace with this more expensive and supposedly better quality hairdryer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money., April 30, 2011
This review is from: Andis 82105 Ceramic Ionic Styler Hair Dryer (Health and Beauty)
I bought this hair dryer when I decided to replace my still working, but not doing the best job, Conair. I am a sucker for anything different, and this fit the bill. I washed my hair right after I bought it so I could check it out. After using it all I could think of were these three words: No Me Gusta. I didn't even finish drying my hair with it, my Conair takes me 5 minutes tops to dry my thick, shoulder length hair. I was on 20 minutes with this one and I had had enough. Also, it kept sucking my hair into the vents which was rather painful. This hair dryer is severely lacking oomph. It takes me less time to dry my hair with my old conair and style separately then it would have taken me to style and dry with this thing.

I am returning it tomorrow and I'll buy a regular blow dryer.

Once again, NO ME GUSTA.
