I've used an Andis Master Clipper for beard trimming for a few years. The Master Clipper is bigger than this trimmer, but rather heavy. I decided to try this trimmer out to see if it was a bit less tiring. It is definitely more manageable. However, the teeth are rather smaller than the Master Clipper, so with curly beard hair it takes several passes to get everything clipped where the Master Clipper generally gets everything on the first pass. The combs for this clipper are much better for beard trimming than the Master Clipper combs though. If I had to recommend one or the other for beard trimming I think I'd go with this clipper.

I've only had this trimmer for a month but it has been great to use so far. I'm an amateur barber who hasn't been cutting hair for a long time but this trimmer does everything that I expected it to. Using it is a lot better than using my clippers to do linings, which is what I had been doing before I made this purchase. It is a great tool for making lines and curves when cutting hair.

I bought this to replace an older Oster trimmer. THis trimmer was a good choice. It trims cleanly and, even better, it is quiet. Recommended highly.

I paid more than $10 above the price now but I'm not complaining. It works like the clippers my barber used and I haven't had to use a razor for about a month now. Dry shave is better, imo ... a lot, at least for my skin.

wow...this is the best outliner. all the members in our barber shop have them... you will select a good choice if you get this outliner. It is so perfect to work with it and moreover, it cuts the hair really good and makes very nice shaping. i highly recommend it to you !!!

As a man who prides himself on grooming, especially facial hair, I was looking for a great beard/goatee trimmer for a long time. I kept buying whatever new trimmer Wahl or Remington or Norelco that showed up on Target or Wal-Mart's shelves, but never achieved the results I wanted (i.e. smooth, accurate, powerful trimming)

I finally decided that the twelve or so inadequate trimmers sitting under the kitchen sink were useless, and so I researched the catagory and came up with this one. Wow! Is very powerful, great price, cuts hair quickly and well. It can use different attachment sets too, expanding it's versatility. I picked up the beard/goatee attachment set :Andis Attachment Set 4 Snap On Combs #04640 Fits Outliner II Square Blade Only you would need to go along. HIghly recommend for all your trimming needs!

When I first received the trimmer there was a lot of buzzing and ratteling. I returned it.

2nd trimmer. Switch was BAD, thing barely turned on.

3rd trimmer. Works well, gets hotttt, long time to cool down.
But it does make a sharp line up, i would not use it on back of neck,
that area always gets chewed up by this machine.

This is a great product. It is powerful, cuts fast and is not too loud. I shave my face and head about twice a a week and this is by far the best trimmer I have ever bought.

this is the best out liner outhere, i didn't buy from amazon, i got for 70 dollars, but amazon has it for 50 wow. i big save. i bought it like two years ago and still works like new, and to tell the true i cut my own hair every weekend and never gave me problems. i love it

I have had the same set of clippers of 15years. I have dropped the several times. These things are better than a Timex watch. I use them three to four times a week to shave my head. People are constantly asking what I shave with. Even barbers ask. Once I tell them, they are surprised and amazed. If you are thinking about buying a pair, think no more. Pull the trigger. They will be the first and last pair clippers you will ever buy. Think of all the money you will save in razors, shaving cream and other shaving equipment.
