This is the first cordless clipper I've used which actually cuts hair. I've tried other big-name products, and the results are always the same: they stop dead as soon as they get into thicker hair. If they had simply slowed down a bit, it would have been annoying but livable. You can imagine where these other products ended up.

The Andis is able to handle everything I can give it without a noticeable decrease in cutting speed. It's just as strong at the end of the cut as it was in the beginning. As a plus, it uses NiMH batteries, which, in my view, are superior (and more environmentally friendly) to the older NiCADs.

I'm in the military and need a fresh high and tight haircut weekly. With the cost of going to the local barber becoming prohibitive, I successfully convinced my spouse that she could cut my hair. Initially we used a set of Walmart cheapo clippers we'd bought just after getting married, many seasons ago. Once I was convinced I could count on her actually cutting my hair, I purchased this set. I wanted a set of cordless clippers, so that she wouldn't have to fight the cord while cutting my hair. I also wanted something that is well built. This set meets both of those marks. These clippers come with a complete set of blades, a small cleaning brush, and an oil bottle. We've used the clippers three times thus far with good results. The clippers battery has proven to be adequate for two haircuts, keeping in mind that the clippers are the only instrument my wife uses on my hair, I'm satisfied. The clippers cut my hair well, without bogging down, but from a tactile perspective, I think the motor could be a little stronger, but then that may be the price you pay for cordless. All in all a good set of clippers, that earned 4 stars from a tough grader due to the adequate, but not impressive motor.

I ordered this product not know much about it. I love it though, it works great. You get smooth cuts in no time at all. The only problem is that it is a little loud.

Battery life is great, heavy duty construction, they cut great, make sure to oil them once in a while that's all they need

Great clippers. I've tried norelco ones that had to be cleaned every 15 seconds before they would work again. Not these. These are powerful, quiet and fast. Great product. Extremely happy.

These clippers are pretty good - when they work. At times they will just cease to cut hair - the blades will be moving, but they just won't cut - very strange. I have to take them apart with a screw driver and clean everything out thoroughly before they will cut again and it's not obvious where the problem lies. These clippers have been very frustrating.

I used the product twice and now it wont even hold a charge or work when plugged up. I actually bought two and I plan to send both to a Andis shop or try to get my money back.

Well, this proved to be the most expensive hair cut I have ever had!

I used it once but two weeks later when I tried it again, it refused to work. I thought it needed recharging but after an overnight of doing so, Nada!

I even tried it with the power cord on, red light on, but no cigar! I didn't even think of returning it coz I'd surely get a similar piece of junk for the headache I'd go thru in shipping it.

So, I am back looking for one, again!
