If you have other Andre Rieu DVDs, save your money.

The cuts are from previous DVDs. I really like almost

everything he's done, but I feel this is a ripoff.

Maybe the next DVD will have something new, and I'll be

waiting in line to buy it. Three stars just because it's

Andre.

This DVD is available in Hong Kong in Christmas time and it's a wonderful gift to open on Boxing Day. There are 14 tracks compiled from his 6 NTSC DVDs released in the States: Live in RAH; Dreaming; Romantic Moment; 100 Years of Strauss; La vie est belle and Live in Dublin. So actually there are no new tracks but still a must have item for all Andre's fans.

As mentioned in the other review, this DVD is a real ripoff! 5 of the 14 songs are from "Andre rieu in tuscany" and the rest are music videos of andre walking around the european country side. Andre is an amazing conductor and musician, but he is at his best when playing live in front of a huge crowd. I would strongly recommend against buying this particular DVD and would suggest that you buy his live concert ones.

This Program has a variety of Rieus Songs, that from other dvds are on. It takes some of the most beautiful and romantic Songs of him and puts them on to one convenient dvd. Everyone who is a fan should buy.

Andre Rieu had been a member of the Dutch Symphony Orchestra mainly playing classical music on his Stradivari violin. He also was the Concert Master. Eventually he got tired of it, and thought of a way to bring more entertainment to a larger group of people, notjust classical music lovers.
He started out with Johann Strauss music, hired women violin and other musical instrument players. Andre Rieu asked the women to dress up in nice fancy clothes and swing along with the beautiful music of Strauss. It is a very professional group that offers charming musical entertainment. Andrej Rieu and his group travel all over the world,. They also have performed in the U.S. Highly recommend any Andre Rieu performance.

I like the sounds of violin, especially when supported by a good orchestra. In this CD, Andre Rieu performs several popular songs. The songs include: Romeo and Juliet, Chanson D'Amour, Romance Anonyme, and Morning From Peer Gynt.

My only question is why my wife does not like this CD. I don't think it is the music, as she likes these song on other CDs by different artists. If anyone can suggest why she would believe it just "grates" against her, please let me know because I like this music.

The quality of the CD is excellent and the orchestration sound. These musicians play the songs artistically. I enjoyed the music and recommend this CD.

Only Rieu can do it like this. Check it out, it well worth every moment.

We enjoy watching his concerts on PBS and bought his CD. Great lively music to enjoy.

The sound is stereo, with some audible distortions in the mid range.

The image is neither 4:3 nor 16:9, so it appears surrounded by black bars on my widescreen TV!
